I’m struggling with life at the moment, there’s stuff going on that needs my attention and it’s a great big time sucker! Ugh. I am getting words down though, and managing to do some reading (not much but still) for my CP’s. I finished Coyote Home last week and I’m waiting on one more feedback before tweaking it and sending it out. Coyote Wild will need some tweaking too and then there’s books 3 & 4 to write. Heaps to do before I’m finished playing in that shifter world. I just need to find the time to do it.
I started a new story and so far I think it’s going well. It’s a quickie so I should have it done by the end of the week, toes crossed. (I need my fingers to type. *grin*) It’s the first in a series set in a strip club. I’m looking forward to playing with these characters, they’re proving to be fun already. I’m really liking a secondary character, she’s spunky and has some serious history that needs to be explored so she won’t get her own book for a while. For now I’ll concentrate on Harley and Todd.

I’m over at International Heat blogging about incentives to write.
Yes, it’s here. The second story in my Passport To Passion Collection is available now from Noble Romance Publishing.

OMG! I love it! It’s hawt and Fiona Jayde has done a brilliant job. She understood exactly what I was asking for but somehow made it better. I’m totally loving the colors at the bottom and that almost kiss….. *fans self* Whoa!
LOVE IT!!!!
OMG! I’m thrilled to let you all know we’ve got a new member over at International Heat. I’m even more thrilled to tell you she’s a fellow Aussie!! Yay! Lexxie Couper has joined the fold and when her name was first brought up as a possible nomination I was the first one to raise my hand and vote YES! Lexxie is funny and smart and writes smokin’ hawt stories that scorch the eyeballs. She’d not afraid to push those boundries in her writing and I admire that she stays true to her characters no matter how ‘bad’ others may think it is. Of course your bad and mine might be completely different. *grin*
I’ve recently had the privilege of reading her upcoming release from Samhain Publishing. Let me tell you the woman knows how to weave a tale so engrossing you forget everything and everyone around you. (Yes, the Tribe went without food.) Lexxie is published with Changeling Press, Samhain Publishing and Ellora’s Cave. (click on the pub names to go to her author page) Check out her WEBSITE and BLOG, she often throws up a flash fiction or snippet of whatever she’s working on.
And don’t forget to check the International Heat blog for your regular dose of warmth.
It’s my turn to throw up a snippet of something I’m working on at International Heat. I’ve put the start of my current wip, Coyote Home, up for you all to have a look at. Go HERE! to have a read.
Today it’s Mari Carr in the spotlight.
Mari is not only a great author, she’s one of my best friends. Earlier this year I took the trip of a lifetime to the US to attend a couple of conferences and visit my CP who I’d met online one year before. We’d never met in person but we’d seen pix so I knew it wouldn’t be a problem finding her at the airport when I arrived. Now there was little concern, I mean I was going to be staying with a stranger really but I wasn’t too worried and believe me, the second we met face to face any and all fears went right out the window. I don’t think either of us drew a breath on the hour journey to her house we talked that much. She’s like the other side of me. It’s funny cause she has some similar characteristics as my Hubby and I’ve got some similar to hers. LOL We think the same way on so many things, we get the same jokes and neither of us is a girly-girl. Two peas in a pod really. She’s helped me grow as an author and I’ve helped her and we can say the hard stuff without worrying about upsetting each other. I will treasure the day I found the guts to email her about becoming CP’s for the rest of my life. It was definitely one of those rare times in life where everything just clicks. I can’t tell you how empty my life would be without her in it.
Check out her books HERE!
And here’s a look at a couple of her gorgeous covers-

Vivian Arend is hosting a Cowboy Countdown Contest and she’s popped in today to ask us to join her in getting ready for her latest release, Rocky Mountain Heat comingAugust 31st to Liquid Silver Books. And she’s got a question for us:
Have you ever seen a real cowboy?
That would depend on what you mean by seen Vivian. Or what you mean by real. I’m partial to the odd cowboy or two and I have to say I’ve downed more than my fair share. What? Oh, you mean men not the alcohol shot. Right, well I’m not sure I want to share that info. *grin*

Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where one sweet young thing plus the Coleman boys equals trouble with a capital T.
Six Pack Ranch, Book 1
Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble’s a blonde wearing a cowboy hat with slim legs that go on forever, what’s a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. Hell, he was the one that taught her to ride a horse and now all he can think about is riding her. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.
Jaxi has other plans for his hands, and his heart. She may have considered Blake a big brother once but that was a long time ago. She’s all grown up now and ready to convince him that she’s just what he’s been waiting for.
Add the complication of two sexy younger brothers who have suddenly noticed Jaxi and things heat up fast. Blake’s gonna have to decide if a little trouble is worth fighting for.
Answer the question in the comments to be entered to win the prize in the Cowboy Countdown. For more info you can also visit Where Dreams Become Reality.
First let me point you to a great contest my CP is running in the lead up to her next release. Vivian Arend is doing a Cowboy Countdown to her Rocky Mountain Heat release. Visit her BLOG to see what’s happening. Oh and I’m part of it so you better come back and see how on Saturday. *wink*
If you ducked over to see my post at International Heat this week you’ll know that my PC crashed on Tuesday. With over 4k of unbacked up work. Ugh! Anyway, the good news is the PC is back and it’s all fixed and all work was saved. Yay!
So, anyone notice the word count meter on the sidebar to the right? Yep, Quinn and Rowan have me writing up a storm and are well on their way to THE END. Except it’s looking like the end might be a little bit past the 30k mark. *shrug* I’m going with the flow and see what happens but I’ve got too many scenes in my head to fit into the word count left. *sigh* I’ll just have to see what happens when I’m done.
