Where does the time go?

I’m struggling with life at the moment, there’s stuff going on that needs my attention and it’s a great big time sucker! Ugh. I am getting words down though, and managing to do some reading (not much but still) for my CP’s. I finished Coyote Home last week and I’m waiting on one more feedback before tweaking it and sending it out. Coyote Wild will need some tweaking too and then there’s books 3 & 4 to write. Heaps to do before I’m finished playing in that shifter world. I just need to find the time to do it.

I started a new story and so far I think it’s going well. It’s a quickie so I should have it done by the end of the week, toes crossed. (I need my fingers to type. *grin*) It’s the first in a series set in a strip club. I’m looking forward to playing with these characters, they’re proving to be fun already. I’m really liking a secondary character, she’s spunky and has some serious history that needs to be explored so she won’t get her own book for a while. For now I’ll concentrate on Harley and Todd.

Yes, it’s here. The second story in my Passport To Passion Collection is available now from Noble Romance Publishing.

SingaporeFinal

Blurb:-
Carly Simmons has lusted after her boss for six months. Throwing caution to the wind while on a business trip in Singapore, she suggests a fling. When Saxon takes her up on her offer, Carly gets far more than the conservative businessman she’s expecting.
Saxon Grant is definitely up for a weekend of red-hot sex, but once he gets his hands on Carly he knows a couple of days will never be enough. Months of wanting her explode into a weekend of tangled sheets and twisted emotions.
And after one wild weekend, these two hearts will never be the same.
Excerpt:-
Saxon plucked the drink from her hand, slapped the almost-empty glass down next to his before he wrapped his hand around her arm and hauled her to her feet. He took money from his pocket and dropped it on the table. There was too much but someone would get a generous tip because he didn’t plan on hanging around to count out the right amount or wait for change. Carly sputtered a protest, a minuscule little squeak that told him all he needed to know about her willingness to go with him.
Leaving the bar, he led her through the middle courtyard of the hotel to the elevator. She fought to keep up with his long strides and by the time his finger stabbed the up button her breathing was labored. Due to arousal or their sprint across the paved area? He couldn’t be sure, but his own breathing was shallow and rasped in his ears. Heated blood pumped through his veins and filled his cock. If she felt a tenth of the lust he did, it would be enough.
The doors swished open and he pushed Carly in ahead of him. He pressed the button for their floor. When the doors closed, he spun around and pinned her to the back wall. Wedging his leg between hers, he ground his thigh on her crotch. Heat scorched his skin through the layers of clothing. She was on fire. He pressed harder, eliciting a moan of pleasure from her beautiful mouth. The invitation was clear and he took it.
Slamming his mouth to hers, he sucked her bottom lip between his teeth and bit into the tender flesh. Her gasp of surprise allowed him access to the dark warmth his tongue sought to claim. All the months of holding back, waiting to take her, exploded into the kiss. He dominated, ravished and took without apology. Every corner, every recess became his. Her flavor was like a drug, the more he tasted the more he wanted.
His cock pulsed and he pumped his hips, pushing the throbbing organ against her supple belly. With the fingers of one hand tangled in her hair, he held her midnight tresses tight to keep her mouth under his. His other hand molded itself to her breast, her nipple prodding his palm. Drawing his hand back, he dragged his fingers over the mound until they caught on the bud. Using the padded tips, he tugged and pinched until the peak turned rock hard.
She moaned into his mouth and thrust her tongue against his while grinding her pussy on his thigh. He raised his leg, forcing her onto her toes, and felt her body quiver with her building orgasm. The ding of the elevator barely registered but the gasp of the elderly couple waiting when the doors opened did.
Saxon jerked away and Carly slid down onto the soles of her feet and kept going. His arm shot out and wrapped around her waist. Holding her to his side, he walked them out onto their floor. On wobbly legs, she tottered beside him. Quickening his steps, he marched them down the hall. His blood boiled, every vein filled to overflowing and his cock had never been so stiff. They’d never make the bed. He’d take her the second they got inside the room.

OMG! I’m thrilled to let you all know we’ve got a new member over at International Heat. I’m even more thrilled to tell you she’s a fellow Aussie!! Yay! Lexxie Couper has joined the fold and when her name was first brought up as a possible nomination I was the first one to raise my hand and vote YES! Lexxie is funny and smart and writes smokin’ hawt stories that scorch the eyeballs. She’d not afraid to push those boundries in her writing and I admire that she stays true to her characters no matter how ‘bad’ others may think it is. Of course your bad and mine might be completely different. *grin*

I’ve recently had the privilege of reading her upcoming release from Samhain Publishing. Let me tell you the woman knows how to weave a tale so engrossing you forget everything and everyone around you. (Yes, the Tribe went without food.) Lexxie is published with Changeling Press, Samhain Publishing and Ellora’s Cave. (click on the pub names to go to her author page) Check out her WEBSITE and BLOG, she often throws up a flash fiction or snippet of whatever she’s working on.

And don’t forget to check the International Heat blog for your regular dose of warmth.

Today it’s Mari Carr in the spotlight.

Mari is not only a great author, she’s one of my best friends. Earlier this year I took the trip of a lifetime to the US to attend a couple of conferences and visit my CP who I’d met online one year before. We’d never met in person but we’d seen pix so I knew it wouldn’t be a problem finding her at the airport when I arrived. Now there was little concern, I mean I was going to be staying with a stranger really but I wasn’t too worried and believe me, the second we met face to face any and all fears went right out the window. I don’t think either of us drew a breath on the hour journey to her house we talked that much. She’s like the other side of me. It’s funny cause she has some similar characteristics as my Hubby and I’ve got some similar to hers. LOL We think the same way on so many things, we get the same jokes and neither of us is a girly-girl. Two peas in a pod really. She’s helped me grow as an author and I’ve helped her and we can say the hard stuff without worrying about upsetting each other. I will treasure the day I found the guts to email her about becoming CP’s for the rest of my life. It was definitely one of those rare times in life where everything just clicks. I can’t tell you how empty my life would be without her in it.

Check out her books HERE!

Vivian Arend’s Cowboy Countdown!

Vivian Arend is hosting a Cowboy Countdown Contest and she’s popped in today to ask us to join her in getting ready for her latest release, Rocky Mountain Heat comingAugust 31st to Liquid Silver Books. And she’s got a question for us:

Have you ever seen a real cowboy?

That would depend on what you mean by seen Vivian. Or what you mean by real. I’m partial to the odd cowboy or two and I have to say I’ve downed more than my fair share. What? Oh, you mean men not the alcohol shot. Right, well I’m not sure I want to share that info. *grin*

Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where one sweet young thing plus the Coleman boys equals trouble with a capital T.

Six Pack Ranch, Book 1

Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble’s a blonde wearing a cowboy hat with slim legs that go on forever, what’s a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. Hell, he was the one that taught her to ride a horse and now all he can think about is riding her. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.

Jaxi has other plans for his hands, and his heart. She may have considered Blake a big brother once but that was a long time ago. She’s all grown up now and ready to convince him that she’s just what he’s been waiting for.

Add the complication of two sexy younger brothers who have suddenly noticed Jaxi and things heat up fast. Blake’s gonna have to decide if a little trouble is worth fighting for.

Answer the question in the comments to be entered to win the prize in the Cowboy Countdown. For more info you can also visit Where Dreams Become Reality.

Writing, contests and fixed PC’s.

First let me point you to a great contest my CP is running in the lead up to her next release. Vivian Arend is doing a Cowboy Countdown to her Rocky Mountain Heat release. Visit her BLOG to see what’s happening. Oh and I’m part of it so you better come back and see how on Saturday. *wink*

If you ducked over to see my post at International Heat this week you’ll know that my PC crashed on Tuesday. With over 4k of unbacked up work. Ugh! Anyway, the good news is the PC is back and it’s all fixed and all work was saved. Yay!

So, anyone notice the word count meter on the sidebar to the right? Yep, Quinn and Rowan have me writing up a storm and are well on their way to THE END. Except it’s looking like the end might be a little bit past the 30k mark. *shrug* I’m going with the flow and see what happens but I’ve got too many scenes in my head to fit into the word count left. *sigh* I’ll just have to see what happens when I’m done.
